Robert H. Anderson, 92, of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Fall Creek Valley Care Center in Fall Creek, Wisconsin. Robert (Bob) H. Anderson was born February 14, 1911 to Henry and Hannah (Shields) Anderson in Byron, IL and married Harriet C. Anderson August 30, 1941.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Benjamin, wife Harriet and grandson Michael Quicker. 
 
He is survived by his daughter Mary (Nicholas) Balducci, sons Robert James (Linda) Anderson and John (Mary) Anderson, sister-in-law Thelma Anderson, grandchildren Carol (Patrick) Meighen, Christine Schoenike, Paul (Erin) Quicker, Jennifer Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Katy Anderson and John Anderson, Jr. and great-grandchildren Kristin Chambasian, Colin Meighen, Kyle Chambasian, Katrina Meighen, Rebecca Schoenike, Dean Schoenike and Riley Quicker. 

Robert graduated from Rockford H.S. in 1929. He received an Agricultural Scholarship to the University of Illinois and graduated in 1933 with a degree from the Department of Dairy Manufacturing College of Agriculture. He worked in bottled milk plants until enlisting in the army in 1943 where he served as a dairy and meat products inspector. After his discharge in 1945, Robert continued his work in dairy plant management. From 1960 until retirement in 1972, Robert worked as the Acting Health Officer for Winnebago County in Rockford, IL. During his tenure, sanitary services were expanded. He was also instrumental in combining the Rockford Health Department with the Winnebago Health Department resulting in both being housed in the Old Rockford Chemistry Building. The Department continues to expand. 

After retirement, Robert again devoted his time to agriculture that included farming and forestry management. Throughout all those years he enjoyed his family and numerous friends. "A person couldn't hope to have much more in life", Robert H. Anderson. 

Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Burial will be on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth, MN. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home in Eau Claire and also at the cemetery chapel in Duluth, MN one hour prior to the committal service.
