Kenneth Frank Berger, age 61, died at home while surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, November 24, 2006, after a truly courageous battle with cancer. Ken was born in Milwaukee, WI on November 4, 1945, and grew up in the Mondovi, WI area. He graduated from Mondovi High School in 1964 and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1973. He married Karen DeMuth on August 14, 1971. Ken worked as a sales representative his entire life in the Eau Claire, La Crosse, and Madison areas. He most recently was employed by Yellow Book, USA.

Ken is survived by his wife Karen, of Eau Claire, WI, and his daughters Erica (George Manousos), of Pittsburgh, PA, and Laura, of Chicago, IL, as well as his father, Charles, and his brothers Ron (Diane) and Tim, all of Eau Claire, WI and his sisters Sharon, of Onalaska, WI, Deb Jenson (Bruce) of Eau Claire, WI and Kathy Luty (Bob) of Hudson, WI. He is further survived by his brother-in-law Don DeMuth of Florence, WI, sister-in-law Marilyn Nakamoto of Green Bay and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death two years prior by his mother Lucy.
He was a man of great wit, intelligence, kindness and talent whose sense of humor was unsurpassed. An incredibly loving husband and amazingly supportive father, he enjoyed cooking, reading, sports, playing cards and cribbage, and telling jokes. The laughter and love he brought into the lives of those around him will be treasured forever. He is deeply loved and cherished by his family, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday November 28, 2006 at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home in Eau Claire. Burial will be in
Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12:00 pm (noon) until the time of services.
