Beatrice Irene Goss Best, 78, of Rock Creek, died Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 29, 1925 to Ralph and Lillian (Mawby) Goss in Eau Claire. On January 7, 1942, she married Lloyd E. Best. He passed away in April of 1995.
Beatrice was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts Pack 132. She was also a nurses aide at Luther Hospital as well as a part-time midwife that delivered several children into the world. During the war, Beatrice was a factory worker in a defense plant near Racine, WI.

She was a very active member of several church families including, Rock Falls Baptist Church, Roberts Road Baptist Church in Island Lake, IL and Hualopai Baptist Church as a snowbird, in Kingman, AZ.
Beatrice is survived by her sons Larry (Diane) Best, Gale Best and Charles (Mary) Best; a daughter, Neva (Joe) Annen; a foster daughter, Guadalupe (Lee) Sault; three brothers, LeRoy "Bud" (Violet) Goss, John "Jack" Goss and Ralph (Sherry) Goss; three sisters, Ida Mae (Glenn) Best, Ione (Arlie) Bosher and Peggy (Bob) Olson; 23 Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren and two more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, her parents, her sisters, Darlene Sault, Carmen Goss, Phyllis Goss and brothers, Russel Goss, a Baby Boy Goss.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2004 at Rock Falls Baptist Church, Rock Falls, with the Rev. Dan Whitehead officiating. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the time of services at the church. Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
