Esther A. Boettcher
 

Esther A. Boettcher, 78, of Altoona, WI, died suddenly on Thursday, September 25, 2003 at her home as a result of a heart attack. Esther was born on April 1, 1925 the daughter of Otto and Elva (Becker) Steinhauer. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1942 and then earned her 2 year teaching license. 

Esther married Kenneth Boettcher in June of 1948. She taught in rural schools and went back and earned her degree from Eau Claire University and taught 2nd grade in Colfax for 26 years. She volunteered at

 Chippewa Valley Museum and also in her daughter's classroom. She was an active member at Apostolic Faith Church where the Lord provided her with great comfort and support. 

Esther is survived by 2 children, Ronald Boettcher of Wisconsin Rapids and Jean (Robert) Keller of Fall Creek. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Rebecca and Elizabeth Keller of Fall Creek, her brother Herman (Dorothy) Steinhauer of Eau Claire, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and her husband. 


Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2003 at Apostolic Faith Church, 2431 Fear St., Eau Claire, WI with Pastor Carl A. Trapani officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home and at the church on Monday one hour prior to the service. Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
