John Brott Jr., 80, of Eau Claire, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Osseo Area Nursing Home.
John was born on September 28, 1923, the son of John Brott Sr. and Rachel (Woodford) Brott. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1946 as a guard patrolman. He married Valerie Zuberbier and they were later divorced. He later married Leone Faast in Eau Claire and they were later divorced. John enjoyed fishing, going on bus tours, playing cards, listening to country western music and enjoyed being with his family and friends. John also loved his cats and dogs.

He is survived by a son, Rodney (Deborah) Brott of Eau Claire; Two Grandchildren, Jaime (Charlie) Hebert of Bloomer and Christopher Brott of

Eau Claire; Former wife and great friend, Leone Brott of Osseo; Two Step-daughters, Kristi (Larry) Vold, and Lori (Jerry) Faast, both of Osseo; Three Step-grandchildren, Bethany Vold, Heather Vold and Craig Faast; Four
sisters, Irene Schober of Eau Claire, Lorraine (Rod) Stenzel of Eau Claire,
Dorothy Kriesel of Eau Claire, |
and Sharon (Ron) Germann of Brackett; Two brothers, Loren (Diane) Brott and Mike (LaVonne) Brott, both of Cleghorn. He is further survived by a very special friend, Margaret Jacobson and his dog precious, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister in-law, Orville & Bev Brott, brothers-in-law, Larry Schober and Arnie Kriesel; Step-son, David Faast and John's first wife, Valerie. |
Funeral Services for John will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2004 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Foster, with Pastor Sorenson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials preferred to St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Foster.
