Our Mother, our friend was a special lady who graced our lives with her continuous love and support. Though she may no longer be with us in body, she will always be with us in spirit. Bless you Mom and our deepest gratitude for always being there for us.
 
Virginia R. Bugher formerly of 1421 State Street, Eau Claire, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2005 at the Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona, WI. Virginia was born to Elsie Marie Anna (Lawrence) Regan and Paul David Regan in Madison, WI on December 9, 1922. Virginia graduated from Edgewood High School in Madison in 1940 and went on to complete a year of post-secondary education at the Eau Claire State Teachers College (UWEC) and at Eau Claire Technical College (CVTC). In 1942, Virginia accepted a position in Washington D.C. for the United States Weather Bureau. This position ended with the end of WWII during which time Virginia had transferred to the Los Angeles bureau.

 
After her marriage to David and raising her children, Virginia moved to Colorado Springs where she became a travel agent. She completed her career as a travel agent with positions in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Eau Claire. Her travels as an agent took her to Russia, China, most of Europe, and many other places.
 
Virginia was a volunteer for many organizations including her church (Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral), the Eau Claire County Republican Party, the Ladies Auxiliary at Luther Hospital (board member), the Chippewa Valley Museum, and the American Red Cross (chairwoman) bloodmobile.
 
Virginia enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, reading volunteer work and golfing.
 
Virginia is preceded in death by her mother, father, and a brother: Paul (Pete) David Regan, Jr., and sister: Patricia (Patty) Ann Regan. Virginia is survived by her three children : Mark David Bugher (Kathryn) of Madison, Lawrence [Larry] Ashurst Bugher (Patricia) of Eau Claire, and Patricia [Pat] Bugher Allen (James) of Chippewa Falls, seven grandchildren: Andrew (Erin), Tony (Jenny), John (Keary), and Sarah Bugher, Carrie and Erika Allen, and Kelli Allen (Erik) VonHaden. 
 
In Celebration of Virginia’s life memorial services will be at 7:00 pm on Tuesday July 19, 2005 at Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral in Eau Claire. The Very Reverend H. Scott Kirby will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Friends may call on Tuesday evening at the church from 5:30 pm until the time of services. Memorials may be given to Oakwood Villa Nursing Home, 2512 New Pine Drive, Altoona, WI, 54720.
