Patrick Paul Black, 57 of Eau Claire, WI, died
Monday, July 16, 2007 at Sacred Heart Hospital
after a courageous battle with cancer. He was
born in Durand, WI on October 16, 1949, the
son of Isabelle (Manor) Black and Thomas
Black.
Patrick attended Durand High School and
graduated with the class of 1967. He continued
his education at UW-Stout receiving a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Business Administration
and then a Master's Degree in Occupational
Safety and Health, also from UW-Stout. Patrick
managed the Ben Franklin Store in Menomonie
early in his career and recently retired from
Wausau Insurance Company after 26 years of
service.

On July 19, 1986 Patrick married his wife Denise Fisher at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Eau Claire. On July 20, 1987, Patrick and Denise welcomed their precious daughter Allison Lydia into their family.
He was exceptionally social, a great listener, and loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed running, biking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He was a sports enthusiast and also an active member of the Eau Claire YMCA.
Patrick is survived by his wife Denise (Eau Claire, WI); daughter Allison Black (Eau Claire, WI); mother Isabelle Black (Durand, WI); sister Beverly Ogle (Phoenix, AZ); brother Michael Black (Durand, WI) and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Thomas and brothers William, Val, Douglas, and Bernard.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m on Friday, July 20, 2007 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Eugene Klink officiating. Friends may call at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home on Thursday, July 19, 2007 from 4-8 pm with a prayer service being held at 4 p.m. and again at church one hour prior to services.
