Mary Louise Bowe, age 93 of Eau Claire passed away Friday evening May 11, 2007 at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire.
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday May 15, 2007 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Eau Claire. Father Eugene Klink will officiate. Entombment will be in the Chapel of the Resurrection Mausoleum. Friends may call on Monday evening from 4-7 pm at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home and at the church Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 pm (noon) until the time of services.
 

Mary was born September 6, 1913 in Pepin County to Gustav and Clara (Nix) Wild. She graduated from Mondovi High School and University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a teaching degree. She married Arnold Leo Bowe on June 23, 1936 in Mondovi.
 
Mary started her teaching career at Oak Knoll School at the age of 18. She took some time away from teaching to raise her children and then taught at Immaculate Conception School and Brackett School, retiring in 1976 after thirty years. Mary loved teaching and gardening, especially flowers. In later years, she became interested in family genealogy and scrap booking.
 
Mary is survived by her four children, Patricia (Douglas) DeGrasse of Rice Lake, Gerald (Betty) Bowe of Eau Claire, William Bowe of Lake Wissota, and Thomas Bowe of Birchwood, Grandchildren, Michael (Sandra) DeGrasse, Robert DeGrasse, David (Polly) DeGrasse, Lori (Glen) Kadrlik, Jon-David (Kim) Bowe, Kyle Bowe, and Angela Bowe. Four Step-Grandchildren, William (Sandy) Jensen, John (Rita) Jensen, Chuck (Diane) Jensen, Huntz (Angela) Jensen, eight Great-Grandchildren and five Step Great Grandchildren, Brother and Sisters-in-law, Duane (Joan) Bowe, Marian Bowe and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Arnold who passed away in March of 1999, her parents, a brother Joseph Wild, three sisters, Regina Haselwander, Agnes Martin, and Rita Bauer, and daughter-in-law Judy Bowe, preceded her in death.
 
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Kristine Haig and the staff at Oak Gardens for their loving care and patience with Mom and to the staff at Syverson Lutheran Home for their compassionate care the last two weeks of her life. St. Joseph Hospice was so very helpful and comforting to Mom and our family.
 
We will miss you mom. Rest in Peace.
