Dale E. Buchholz

Dale E. Buchholz, age 60 of Eau Claire, left us to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire after a courageous three month battle with cancer.
 
Dale was born on September 28, 1947 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the son of Donald and Yvonne (Bollinger) Buchholz. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1965 and continued his education at Chippewa Valley Technical College majoring in computer operations and programming.
 
   From 1967 to 1970 Dale was stationed in Germany serving our country in the United States Army. 
 
He married his wife Nona Bauer on June 30, 1979 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. From 1998 until his illness, Dale was employed by IDEXX Computers in Eau Claire.

  
He was a member of the Eau Claire American Legion, Post 53 and the Eau Claire Elks Lodge #402 where he was currently serving as Exalted Ruler during the 2007- 2008 term.
 
Dale enjoyed brewing wine, camping, the Packers, repairing computers, and spending time with his family, friends and dogs, Cocoa and Shadow.
 
Dale is survived by his wife, Nona (Eau Claire); son, Nicholas Buchholz (Menomonie); daughter, Heather Buchholz (special friend Matt Rasmussen), (Prairie du Sac); parents, Donald and Yvonne Buchholz (Eau Claire); sister, Judith (Mike) Reetz (Bloomer); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
He is preceded in death by his grandparents and an aunt and uncle
 
Funeral services for Dale will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 26, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 E. Lexington Blvd, Eau Claire, with Pastor Kurt Jacobson officiating. A visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Sunday, November 25, 2007 from 3:00-6:00 pm and again at church one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington.
 
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that memorials be made to Angel Space, "Home for End of Life Care."
