Carol Jean Carlson, 61, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, died May 24, 2007 at Luther Hospital.
 
She was born on March 1, 1946 in Cherokee, Iowa the daughter of Martin and Lorena (Ehlers) Carlson. She was raised on the family dairy farm in Owen, Wisconsin. Carol attended Owen-Withee High School where she created many life-long friendships. She continued her education at UW- Whitewater. Her career included employment with the Town of Washington, Private Industry Council in Menomonie, and for the last ten years she loved working as a loan officer. Carol was eagerly anticipating her new opportunities with Superior Mortgage. 

  
She was a well loved active member of Landmark Christian Church. Her Christian faith was the strength she drew on through the celebrations and challenges of her life. The joy of her life were her granddaughters and nieces and nephews. She was well known for her quick smile, generous heart, and abundant kindness.
 
Carol is survived by her son, Dan (Gretchen) Zbichorski, grandchildren, Katyana, Alexandra and Elizabeth all of Shoreview, MN. She is also survived by her twin brother, Craig (Helen) Carlson of Stanley, WI, sisters Linda Johnson of Orlando, FL and Marlene (Philip) Palser of Eau Claire, WI and nieces and nephews, Dan Lindstrom, Gary (Diane) Johnson, Tessa (Andrew) Damon, Ronna (Roy Bolton) Johnson, Seth (Sarah) Palser, Herbie (Dana) Carlson, Cathy (Jay) Seehaver, Sam Palser, Miranda Palser, great-nieces and nephews; Royce, Clayton, Jackson, Mitchell, Kaitlynn, Alex, Julia, Ian and Addie; and her dearly loved friends.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her nephew, Scott and brother-in-law, Ronald Johnson.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Landmark Christian Church with The Reverend Brad Crocker officiating. Friends may call on Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Landmark Christian Church and also on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in Abbotsford Cemetery.
