Margaret Jane Chapman, 83, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin died May 3, 2007 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. Jane was born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin on March 10, 1924, the daughter of John and Velma (Vandeman) Nordin. She married Robert Chapman on October 21, 1946; he preceded her in death on November 27, 1983. 
 
Jane worked at the Wisconsin Telephone Company as an operator and then as supervision clerk. She retired in September of 1982. Jane was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and of the Telephone Pioneers. Jane is survived by her brother, Jon Nordin and his wife, Eleanor of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin and two nieces, Beverly Kohlrusch (Mark) of New Richmond, Wisconsin and Kris Riley (Jon) of Amery, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and infant sister.

  
Jane was much more than a sister, aunt and great-aunt to her family and will be dearly missed.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2007 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Pastor Gary Sahs officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday at Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the church on Monday for 2 hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in Jane's name to Our Saviors Lutheran church, 1310 Main Street, Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54701.
