Ellsworth John Coss, age 88 formerly of Eau Claire, died June 4, 2007 at the Beloit Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born to Earl Logan and Lenora Mary (Finn) Coss on August 19, 1918 in Altoona, WI. On August 5, 1939 he married his wife Doris Ruth Rink at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altoona.

Ellsworth proudly served his county in the Navy between the years of 1944 and 1946. In his younger years he was active in the Boy Scouts of America and the Eau Claire Archery Club. He worked for numerous companies in Eau Claire as a mechanical engineer, the last being at Bartingale Heating and Air Conditioning. |
He is survived by his daughters, Sharon E. (Robert) Yeadon of Janesville, WI and Barbara Barrett of Eau Claire, WI; one son, John Coss (significant other Jane Hilary) of Brooklyn Park, MN; grandchildren, Kim (Ed) Schneider, Janesville, WI; Sherrie Lange (significant other Rick White)

Coss, Altoona, WI; and many nieces nephews and cousins.
Ellsworth is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Doris, his brother Charles, his sisters Geraldine
Meider, Eunice Rood, Carolyn Wagner
and his great-grandson, Sean Schneider.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI with Monsignor Klimek officiating.
