Lucy H. Dudenhoefer, 95, of Onalaska and formerly of the Eau Claire area, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 12, 2007.
 
Lucy was born December 14, 1911 to Ernest and Mertie (Dewey) Holmes of Mondovi, the fifth of seven children. She married Philip Dudenhoefer on Sept. 7, 1929. They lived in rural Fall Creek for 26 years before moving to Onalaska in 1991. 
 
Lucy will be long remembered for her deep love of family, horses, and her dear dog "Peaches." Lucy was the eldest member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Onalaska. 
 
She is survived by her daughter Myrna Johnsen of Brandon, Miss., grandchildren Debra (Doug) Bakken of Onalaska, Timothy (Lynn) Werner of Mindoro, Ric (Laurie) Johnsen of Atlanta, GA, Russell (Joanne) Johnsen of Brandon, Miss., and Barbara (Jeff) Gray of Brandon, Miss., plus eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
 
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, her daughter Phyllis Werner in 2001, and by two son-in-laws and one grandson.
 
Graveside funeral services will be Saturday, May 19, 11 a.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. The Rev. Donald Stein of Onalaska will officiate. Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, Eau Claire, is assisting the family.
