Marion Ellickson, age 76 of Eau Claire, died
Monday, December 10, 2007, at Luther Hospital
in Eau Claire.
She was born November 9, 1931, in Wausau,
Wisconsin. On December 19, 1954, she married
Donald Ellickson in Wausau. Marion graduated
from the University of Wisconsin School of
Nursing in 1957 with a public health nursing
degree. Throughout her professional career
Marion worked for the Tiffin, Ohio School
System, University of Wisconsin Hospitals,
Luther Hospital, Visiting Nurses Association,
and the Clairemont Nursing Home, where she was
a nursing supervisor for many years.

Marion was an energetic woman with diverse interests
and activities including volunteering for Meals on
Wheels and political causes, playing bridge,
traveling, attending theatre and participating in
many university activities. She especially loved her
dogs, Ellie and Molly.
Marion is survived by her husband, Donald, Eau Claire; children, Brian (Cindy) Ellickson, Clintonville, WI, Anne Marie Swanson, Chippewa Falls, WI, Amy Ellickson, Brooklyn Center, MN, and Kent Ellickson (Eric Steffes), Madison, WI; grandchildren, Lisa Ellickson, Brenda Ellickson, Philip Swanson, and Johanne Swanson.
Marion was preceded in death by parents Fred and Ethel Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday December 14, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Kurt Jacobson officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, December 13, 2007, from 4-7 p.m. at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Rd. Eau Claire, and again at church one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, The Eau Claire County Humane Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
