Early in her career, she graduated from the Eau Claire Teacher's College in 1926 and taught in a one-room school. Later, she taught second grade in Chippewa Falls, WI. She was active in the Boy Scouts with her husband Wes for many years and they belonged to Grace Lutheran Church. She was also very active in the Eau Claire PTA and church activities. She loved gardening and playing bridge. She was a loving mother and her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy (Wayne) Devery of Sarasota, FL, son Richard (Deanne) Ferguson of Eagan, MN, a sister-in-law Rosemary Thompson of Bozeman, MT, five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. Her entire family will sadly miss her.
