Richard O. Hanson, age 73 of Eau Claire, died October 23, 2007 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire surrounded by family.
Richard was born in Eau Claire, WI on October 4, 1934, the son of John and Edna Hanson. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High in 1952 and then attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for the next four years. |

After his graduation from the university, Richard served his country in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960. On August 11, 1962 he married his wife, LaRue Swearingen in South St. Paul, MN. He continued his working career at Chippewa Valley Sporting Goods and remained there until his retirement.

Richard is survived by his
wife, LaRue; son, Greg (Cheryl) Hanson;
daughter, Ann Hanson; Grandchildren,
Noah, Olivia, and Jonah Hanson; sister,
Joyce (Art) Faaren; brother, Don (Fay)
Hanson; sister-in-law, Lilly Jane
(William) Erager, and many nieces and
nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents
and granddaughter, Mariah.
A memorial service for Richard will be
held at 11:00 a.m on October 26, 2007 at
Lake Street United Methodist Church with
Pastor Cathy L. Hamblin officiating.

2007 from 5 -8 p.m. |
