Gladys Hoffmeister, age 81 of Eau Claire passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, December 20, 2007.
She was born on January 19, 1926, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Clarence and Marjorie Guthrie. Gladys graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School and was married to Richard
Hoffmeister. She worked over 30 years at
Uniroyal.
Gladys derived great enjoyment in the many trips that she and Dick took over the years, and spending summers at their various cottages. She loved children, especially her many nieces and nephews. She was a loving and caring person to everyone she knew.

She is survived by sisters, Ruth Leigh, Mary Lee, Doris (Richard) Zimmerman, one brother, Paul (Ella) Guthrie, and brother-in-law Steve Hoffmeister. Many loving nieces and nephews further survive her. She enjoyed her daily contact with dear friends, Linda and Cyndie, as well as many other friends so important in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard; and brother, Robert.
