Charles Elwyn "CK" Kaiser, 86, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at Heritage Assisted Living in Eau Claire.
 

Charles was born Nov. 25, 1920, in Eau Claire to William and Mable Kaiser. He graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Eau Claire in 1938 and the University of Notre Dame in 1943. Charles married Dorothy Kelly on Oct. 14, 1950, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. Charles was a certified public accountant for more than 40 years and retired as the senior managing partner at Bertelson Co. Charles also was associated with Howard Johnson/Quality Inn and Charlie K's/O'Leary's Pub for the last 40 years. He was involved with many civic organizations, and was known for his sense of humor and wit. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed golf, cribbage and spending time with friends and family.

  
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; sons, Charles (Marsha) Kaiser, Richard (Elaine) Kaiser and James (Linda Johnson) Kaiser; daughter, Jayne (Charlie) Plumer; grandson, Matt Kaiser; sister-in-law, Florence Kaiser; and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Harry; and one sister-in-law, Helen.
 
Funeral service is 6 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007) at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, with the Rev. Edmund Klimek officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service. 
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Northwest Wisconsin HomeCare or other organizations of choice.
