Norman Michael Knutson

Norman Michael Knutson, age 78, of New Auburn, died on February 10, 2007 at his home with his family by his side.

Norman was born September 29, 1928 to George and Francis (Apka) Knutson in Winona, Minnesota. He married Betty L. Nissalke on October 29, 1949.

Norman enjoyed fishing on Island Lake and trips to Canada. He was an avid deer hunter and outdoorsman. Norman was a handyman and enjoyed helping neighbors. He volunteered at Island Lake Ponds and was a member of Moose Lodge #903 for 39 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, of over 57 years. His son, Steve (Deb) Knutson, daughters, Diane (William) Shook, and Debra (Bradley) Stai. His grandchildren, Tawnya, Tammy, Aaron, Joe, Valerie, Lynette, JR, Ryan, and Brandon. His great-grandchildren, Nevin, Madison, and Mark.

Norman was a great Dad and Grandpa, a loving and devoted Husband who will always be remembered. We miss you and think of you every time we look at the moon knowing you are watching over us.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until time of services.
