Ronald Harold Kuhnert, 70, of Fall Creek, Wisconsin, died May 3, 2007 at his home after fighting a long courageous battle with cancer.

Ron was born on July 8, 1936 in Fall Creek, Wisconsin, the son of Harold Albert and Edith Ida (Jaenke) Kuhnert.

Ron served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during his service.
He married Carol Stanton on December 1, 1972 in Wabasha, Minnesota and they renewed their wedding vows with the blessing of the Lord on April 23, 2007. Ron worked for Bush Brothers in Augusta. He liked to play jokes on people "Kuhnert blood", loved to go fishing with Sally, Bob and Carol. He could be seen on a daily basis going on his "2 ride min." around Fall Creek. Ron had a great love of animals, especially horses! He was asked many times to drive teams in parades. Ron enjoyed going to horse pulls, he fed the birds and he could walk right up to squirrels and rabbits and talk with them! Ron was a member of American Legion Post #376.

Ron is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Sally (Bob) Lockling; sisters and brothers, Delores "Dee" Meyer (Wayne), Charlotte "Char" Knitter (Jim), Shirley "Shirl" Ramsier (Donald), Harold "Peter" Kuhnert (Diana) and Donald "Sam" Kuhnert (Nancy). He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, a sister-in-law, Lois L'Heaureux and one uncle, Roland Jaenke.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Grace and Emery Stanton; brother-in-law, George L'Heaureux; many aunts, uncles, other family members and two of his beloved dogs, Rex and Max.

A special hug to Ron's buddy, Jessie Knitter for helping him during his hospice and bringing a special joy to his time here on earth.

The family would like to express a special thank you to St. Josephs Hospice for all of their support and care. Ron thought each and every one of them was so very nice to him. Also thanks to all who helped Ron and Carol during his hospice care; including Jim and Char Knitter, Greg and Jessie Knitter, Shirley Ramsier, Delores "Dee" Meyer, Randy Horlacher, Peter Kuhnert, Bill Johnson, Mike and Norma Dehnke, Susan Larson and Jamie Benear and many others too numerous to mention.
