Marie Lahner, age 53 of Eau Claire passed away on Monday August 13, 2007 at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Marie Carol Lahner was born March 29, 1954 to Gerald and Janice (O’Mara) Lahner. She attended St. James, Regis and St. Bedes. She loved to cook, dance, and listen to the blues. She always had hoped to get back to the ocean.

Marie worked at various businesses: Red Lobster, Fly Away Dinner Club, and The Hershey Hotel while living in Texas, and Woo’s Pagoda, Goodwill, Heidi Health, Sweetwaters, HiShores, and Wally’s in the Chippewa Valley.

She always wanted to help others before herself. She was a wonderful woman who loved her family and friends. She will be missed.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Michele Boyland and Nicole Oas; everlasting companion, Bill Duesterbeck; mother, Janice Lahner; grandchildren, Seth Parker, Lars Parker, and Nate Boyland; siblings, Judy (Fawzi) Awad, Michael (Connie) Lahner, and Richard (Lisa) Lahner.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald; grandparents Henry and Cora (Ross) Lahner, and Marshal and Vivian (Cook) O’Mara.

Thanks to hospital staff and all those involved with her health care. We know you did the very best to treat Marie. You treated her family with respect and politeness.

Her death came too early. She has left us and is in Heaven ~ a much better place. My mom was a wonderful woman, always there for me and my three sons, her family, and her only grandchildren. Her sense of humor, her beauty, and hugs and kisses and smile I’ll never forget. She will be greatly missed every moment for the rest of our lives. I love you so much, mom. You’re finally free from all pain. ~ Michele

Services for Marie will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Hospital Chapel with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. There will be no public visitation prior to services.
