Jonathan Lynn Larson, 59, lifelong resident of Eau Claire began his eternal life on June 15, 2007. He is survived by his wife Betsy, son Aaron, daughter Sarah, beloved granddaughter Emma and his mother Marcella all of Eau Claire. Jon is also survived by four brothers and one sister: Lee (Dorothy), Woodbury, MN, Barb (A.J.) Anderson, Grand Rapids, MN, Dr. Richard (Judith) Altoona, WI, Dr. Randy (Vicki) Spooner, WI and Rev. Daniel (Carrie), Lawler, IA, sister-in-laws, Linda (John) Evans, Pigeon Falls, WI and Nancy Bergerson, Eau Claire. He is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
 

Jon attended Lowes Creek School, Memorial High School and the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. Jon was an avid sports fan and participant. He played numerous sports in school and pitched on several area fast pitch softball teams. He served as an umpire and referee for the state of Wisconsin. Jon coached numerous youth basketball, softball and football teams for the YMCA, Parks and Recreation and Lowes Creek Little League. Jon played dart ball with several area church teams and also at the Commercial League level. Jon was a driver for the Ski Sprites Water Ski Show Team for 13 years. "The Hammer" is fondly remembered for "walking the twin rig" at the close of many shows. Jon was a counselor for church youth groups and a leader of a "Pioneer Group."
 

Jon worked for the Eau Claire School District and retired after thirty years of service. 
 
Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road on Thursday, June 21st from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and also at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of services. The funeral service will be Friday, June 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church, 3715 London Road with Pastor Frederick Theiste officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington.
