Mary Lou Lentz, 72, of Eau Claire, was called Home on Nov. 8 by our Heavenly Father to spend eternal joy with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed peacefully at home with her loving husband at her side after a long illness with cancer.

Mary Lou was born on July 2, 1935, in Mapleton Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota, to Carl and Ora (Anderson) Nelson. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1953. In 1969 the family moved to Eau Claire where she was employed as a cook at Immanuel Lutheran High School/College for 14 years. In her retirement years she enjoyed attending the grandchildren's school activities, needle-work, visiting with relatives and friends, her church group and ladies aid, flower gardening, working as a transplanter at a greenhouse each spring, playing cards and games, and fishing every year with family in northern Minnesota.
