Nona L. Barney Link (nee Johnston) died August 29, 2007. Nona Lucille Johnston was born to Lafe and Edith (Lamb) Johnston in Leal, North Dakota. She was married to Casper Barney in 1939. After Casper's death, she married Kenneth Link in Las Vegas, NV in February 1990.

Nona was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed craft work, ceramics, housekeeping, playing cards, bowling and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Link, Eau Claire; son, Steven Barney, Milwaukee; sister, Illene Bridges, Eau Claire; sister, Patricia (Don)
Walch, Minneapolis; brother, Donald (Kate) Johnston, Buffalo City; daughter-in-law, Linda Barney, Apache Junction, AZ; step-son, Jan (Mary) Link and step-daughter, Linda (Robert) Flynn, both of Eau Claire. Nona is further survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nona is preceded in death by her first husband, Casper Barney; son, Robert Barney; sister, Doris Jackson; and daughter-in-law, Vickie Barney.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Syverson Lutheran Home for the exceptional care they provided.
Services will be on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Heights United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim McKay and Pastor Debra Boynton officiating. Friends and family may call at 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday. Entombment will be at the Chapel of Resurrection Mausoleum/Calvary Cemetery, Old Hastings Way, Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54703.
