Mary B. Marcus, age 77 of Eau Claire, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at her home. She gracefully and with dignity battled Alzheimer's disease for the last six years and fought a short time with pancreatic cancer.

Mary spent her days staying active. She enjoyed the outdoors while she tended to her gardens, bird watched, or worked on the "handy" project around the house. She was a sewer, a quilter, a weaver, and a writer; journaling about her children, grandchildren, friends, and many pets. She also enjoyed researching her family genealogy. Mary created many precious memories traveling. She crossed the Atlantic Ocean as a passenger on the Queen Mary, toured Europe extensively and also treasured her special summers with her kids in Connecticut. Mary will be remembered as a gentle, kind, non-judgmental, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.
