Sally Nelson (Selma Karen Christianson) died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Dove Healthcare, Eau Claire, WI. Sally was born November 16, 1913 to Edwin and Inga (Hanson) Christianson in Churches Ferry, North Dakota.
She was a 1930 graduate of Lincoln Hill High School in Osseo, WI. In 1932, she graduated from Eau Claire Normal, and then taught school in Jackson County.
She married N. Lawrence Nelson in Pigeon Falls, WI on August 30, 1935. They made their home in Eau Claire where Lawrence (Larry) was employed by the then Union National Bank. Larry passed away May 21, 1988.

Sally is survived by her two daughters, Shirley Ann Seipel (Richard), Loveland, OH and Karen Jean Stern (Gerald), White Bear Lake, MN and 5 grandchildren: Sheri Seipel Burtt (Ken), Houston, TX, Lori Seipel Brown (Steve), Cincinnati, OH, Lisa Seipel, Huntington Beach, CA, Kelly Stern Grabara, Eau Claire, Charles Stern (Kari), Plymouth, MN, 7 great-grandchildren: Caitlin and Megan Brown, Cincinnati, OH, Jacob and Hailey Grabara, Eau Claire and Sofia, Cecilia and Stella Stern, Plymouth, MN and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Edwin and Leo Christianson, sisters, Ann Hartje and Hilma Johnson.
A memorial service will be held for Sally on Monday, September 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 E. Lexington Blvd, Eau Claire, WI with Pastor Mary Jorgensen officiating. Private family burial will take place prior to services at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire.
