The fondest memory I have of Howie is when he got a brand new 12 foot fishing boat. We went out fishing and promptly lost an anchor. The rope was not secured to the boat. Some Navy guy that Howie. It started to rain hard, real hard. We took on so much water that I told Howie to get under way and pull the plug to let out the water. He looked at me kind of funny and said "I can't reach it!" He had put the plug in from the OUTSIDE of the transom! Some Navy guy that Howie. I will never forget the fun times we had together, his sense of humor, and genuine concern for others. Herb
