Clifford Milton Raether

Clifford Milton Raether, 73, died early Wednesday morning February 21, 2007, at Chippewa Manor Nursing Home.

He was born on December 8, 1933, the son of Norman and Ella (Sommerfeldt) Raether in the Town of Ludington, Wisconsin. On March 26, 1966, he married Carol M. Olson at Pinehurst Lutheran Church. Clifford was a longtime, active member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons, Jon Raether (Eau Claire) and Jason (Christina) Raether (Eau Claire); grandchildren, Benjamin DeYoung and Brynn DeYoung; brothers, Raymond (Ann) Raether and Gerald (Nancy) Raether; sisters, Jean (Charles) Roles, Carol (Roger) Twerberg, and Cecelia (Warren) Hoff. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Marie(Leo) Bichsel.

Clifford is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Clifford will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with the Pastor Frederick W. Theiste officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, and one hour prior to the time of services at the church.
