Bob was born in Old Forge, PA, the third child of the late William and Sarah Arabella
Repp. His sisters Ruth Lester Schraegle and Mildred Gillies Wiedman also preceded him in death.
Following graduation from Detroit Northwestern High School, Bob, always a talented draftsman, received an associate's degree in tool and die design from Michigan's Lawrence Institute of Technology. During a long career in the design field, Bob worked for
Fenestra, Incorporated in Detroit, MI; Federal Windows Manufacturing Company in Waukesha, WI; and Walker Manufacturing of Racine, WI, from which he retired as a senior design engineer. At Walker he supplied ideas for two patents.

Bob was a member of the American Society of Tool and Manufacturers Association and a community volunteer. Always interested in helping others, Bob supported Junior Achievement as a leader and assisted both the Cub and Boy Scouts. Later, for his generosity to friends and neighbors, Bob received the "Good Neighbor Award" for 1996 from the Greater Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce. It was his deep and abiding faith that led Bob to donate some of his happiest retirement hours to woodworking projects for the Colfax Lutheran Church and Faith Lutheran Church and St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church both in Menomonie. One of his most treasured pieces was a baptismal fount made in loving memory of Edna Ruth, his wife of 42 years.
Bob married Edna Ruth Miller, a registered nurse, in 1941, and she preceded him in death in 1983. Together they had seven children: John Robert (Nancy) of Grosse Ile, MI; Charles Eugene (Janet) of Ann Arbor, MI; Susan Marose of Eau Claire, WI; Christine (Larry) Welch of Elburn, IL; Paul William (Nancy) of Antigo, WI; Roberta (Joseph) Rich of Clear Lake, IA; and Marianne (Robert) O'Brien of St. Joseph, WI. Other surviving family members include 16 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 11:30 am on Wednesday April 18, 2007 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Pastor Aaron Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Colfax with committal services taking place at 2:30 pm Wednesday afternoon. Friends may call at the Church Wednesday morning from 10 am until the time of services.
The Repp family suggests memorials be made to St. Mark Lutheran School Endowment Fund to assist families in furthering their children's Christian education, a goal Bob and Edna Ruth had for their own children. Contributions may be sent to St. Mark Lutheran church, 3307 State Street, Eau Claire, WI 54701.
Friends may offer their condolences online at www.fullerspeckien.com. Fuller-Speckien- Hulke Funeral Home (715) 832-5002 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
