Dorothy I. Ruckman, 84, 652 Putnam Drive, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Luther Hospital. 
 
Dorothy Krenz was born on September 22, 1922, to Walter and Lyda (Hobbs) Krenz . She married Edward H. Ruckman at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire on January 18, 1944.
 
Survivors include her husband, Edward, a daughter, Barbara Lyrene (Stephen), Silverhill, Alabama, a son, James Ruckman (Kristine) Eau Claire, a sister, Margaret Ann Brown (Irving) New Hope, Minnesota, 3 grandchildren, Lisa Ruckman, Chicago, Illinois, Sara Ruckman, Eau Claire, and Peter Lyrene, Lawrence, Kansas.

 
Dorothy Ruckman was a lifelong resident of Eau Claire, a member of Grace Lutheran Church, a member of the International Chapter of P.E.O. Sisterhood, BE Chapter, and enjoyed many lifelong friendships including the "Golden Girls."
 
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Pastor David Irgens and Pastor Debra Boynton officiating. Inurnment of cremains will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Monday one hour prior to the service. 
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be give in Dorothy's name to Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Avenue, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
