Hazel Marie Rumphol

Hazel Marie Rumphol, age 91, died August 28, 2007 at Dove Healthcare in Eau Claire.

Hazel was born on September 17, 1915 to John and Ida (Jackson) Peterson. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1936, and married George Rumphol in June 1947.

Hazel enjoyed music, puzzles, watching the Golden Girls, latch hooking, collecting California Raisins and owls.

She is survived by her daughters: Judy Rumphol, Eau Claire, Sandy Otto, Osseo, Ginny (Bob) Severson, Eau Claire; special daughter, Carol Dachel, Eau Claire; grandchildren, Christy, Jessica, and Daniel Otto, and Jennifer and Jillian Severson, and Brad Black; great-grandchildren, Bridget and Hunter Otto, Kaleb Miller, and Beau and Logan Rasmussen; sister, Vicki (Don) Hirsch, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Gus Dirks, Elk Mound.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Leone Dirks; and granddaughter, Heather Black.

Services for Hazel will be on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road with Pastor Karen Hofstad officiating. Family and friends can visit on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
