David O Satre, 76, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin died January 26, 2007 at Dove Healthcare in Eau Claire. David was born May 12, 1930 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin the son of John and Kristi (Hellekve) Satre. On June 8, 1957 he married Marjorie Johnson at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.
After graduating from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1948, David served his country proudly during the Korean War. 
 

 
David then returned to a position he previously held at the Eau Claire Press Company as an Ad Compositor. He was employed there a total of forty-eight years until his retirement in 1992. David was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.


David had a passion for life and living. He enjoyed spending the summers at his trailer in Birchwood, Wisconsin and the winters on South Padre Island. David was an avid fisherman, a happy camper, an amateur painter, ice-cream fanatic, loved attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events, a die-hard Packer and Badger fan, as well as a fluent traveler. 
 
David is survived by his wife, Marjorie, two sons, John (Tami) Satre and Eric (Philomena) Satre, one daughter, Ann Marie Satre, five grandchildren, Andrew, Laura, David, Brigid, and Thomas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.David is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Karl Satre, and one sister, Margaret Satre.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Kurt Jacobson officiating. Burial will be in Scandinavian Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday evening and at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
