Esther Helen Stelter of Eau Claire, Wisconsin died April 22, 2007. She was born on May 19, 1921 in Arcadia, Wisconsin, the daughter of Norbert and Catherine (Koschney) Gawlick. 
 
Esther married William Stelter on December 17, 1941. She worked at Allis-Chalmers in Milwaukee and at Peters Meat Processing in Eau Claire. Esther was a loving wife and dedicated mother who held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
  
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and especially fishing, also an avid bowler and card player. Esther resided for 31 years in Eau Claire and 30 years in the Bloomer-New Auburn Lake area. 

 
She was preceded in death by her son, William Franklin Stelter, brothers, Stanley Gawlick, Joseph Gawlick, Joachim Gawlick and sisters, Betty Swartz, Polly Gibbons and Genevieve Misch.  
 
Esther is survived by her devoted husband William of 65 years; her sister, Molly Rosenow; daughters, Judith (Gregory) Johnson, Nancy (John) Logan and Sandra (Michael) Ottum; grandchildren Cathie (Jeff) Marble, Greg (Lesli) Johnson, Jr., Cindy (John) Gessert, Micki Rousselow, Jenny (Dan) Delkamp, Emily (Sean) Dooley, Michael (Natasha) Ottum, Jamie (Lori) Ottum, Kristen Ottum, and 21 great-grandchildren. 
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Concordia Lutheran church with Pastor Frederick Theiste officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Gardens. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the charity of donor's choice.
