Burney R. Weiberg "John" of Eau Claire and Altoona the last six years, passed away Monday afternoon, April 30, 2007.
Burney was born November 7, 1921 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Herman and Marie
Weiberg. His young life was growing up in Indiana and Ohio areas.

He moved his parents to Black River Falls, WI in the early 1940's then joined the Army during WWII serving in England and Europe. |
He returned to the Black River Falls area after the war. He met and married Elda Zillmer in April of 1948. They then lived their entire married life in Eau Claire until her death in 1994. |

He worked at Presto and as an over the road trucker the first years of marriage. He was hired by
N.S.P. and spent the next 34 years working for them, retiring at the age of 62.
John was a great baseball and football fan all his life, coaching little league at Robbins School and active with the Boy Scouts with his son Kenneth. After retirement he enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets and antique shows with his son David. The yearly vacation was always a highlight for him; he loved to travel across the U.S. with David.
He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth of Woodburn, Indiana and David of Eau Claire, WI; two grandsons, Kelly and Kevin both of Eau Claire; three great grandkids, Andre, Krystyana and Ashleigh. He is further survived by Earl and Beatrice

Zillmer, nieces, nephews, other relatives, many great friends from the auctions and flea markets and his and our very special friend, Mary Ann Huff. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife,
Elda, sister, Doris Predenkiewicz who passed away this past March, 2007 in Lowell, Indiana. Also many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law on the Zillmer family side.
We wish to send a very special thank you to all who have helped us over these past months with Burney's health and care. May God bless each one of you.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Friday one hour prior to the service.
