Margaret Wing, age 94 of Altoona, formerly of Nimitz Street Eau Claire went to her eternal home on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 to be with Jesus.
Margaret was born on October 25, 1912 in Barre Mills, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin the daughter of William and Minnie Oldenburg. On November 7, 1936 she married Gordon Wing in West Salem, Wisconsin. During their 68 years of marriage Margaret greatly enjoyed being a homemaker. Margaret had been a resident of Eau Claire since 1941 and worked as a manager at Northwest Testing Laboratory in Altoona for ten years. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of St. Matthew where she participated in Ladies Society as well as the Senior Citizens Organization, and was also a secretary for Sunday school. Margaret was also a member of the Park and Recreation Senior Citizen Club and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Margaret is survived by her three sons, Jerome "Jerry" (Judy) Wing (Chippewa Falls, WI), Robert "Bob" (Ellen) Wing (Chippewa Falls, WI), and David (Mary) Wing, Shelby Township, MI; six grandchildren, Cindy (Scott) Prueher, Steven (Valerie) Wing, Lisa (Jerod) Shakal, Traci (Richard) Zuzelski, Cole (Kellie) Wing and Tiffany Wing; great-grandchildren, Angela, Alan, Austin, Andrew, Alexander, Allison, Samuel, Adam, Amanda, Anna, Abigail; and great-great grandchild, Jaynee.
Her parents, husband, Gordon Wing, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 1915 Hogeboom Ave., Eau Claire at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2007 with Pastor Steve Rutter officiating. Friends may call at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Rd, Eau Claire on Friday, October 26, 2007 from 4-7 p.m. and again at the church from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington.
