Catherine MacLeod Wishart, 91, of Eau Claire, died Friday, September 7, 2007 in Rochester, MN with her family by her side.
Catherine was born November 28, 1915 in Washburn, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arthur W. and Elizabeth H. MacLeod. The family moved to Eau Claire when she was seven years old. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1934. Catherine attended Rockford College, Rockford, IL, and the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She married John H. Wishart on November 15, 1941 in Eau Claire.

Catherine is survived by her children, Betsy Lindholm (Dick), of Eau Claire, Cathy Hirschkorn (Daryl) of Olympia, Washington; grandchildren, Elizabeth LaNou (Chris), Whitney Meixner (Matt), Kirsten Resnick (Adam), Derek Lindholm, and 5 great grand children, all of Eau Claire; Caroline & William Meixner, Aaron & Max LaNou & Simon Resnick. Also nieces, Ginny Day (Tom), Helen Jacobs (Ron), and Louise Dunn (Nevton) and nephew, Bill MacLeod (MaryLou).
Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She enjoyed golfing, tennis, time at the lake and especially her many long time friends. Catherine received great pleasure from her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2000 and her brother, Arthur MacLeod in 2004. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the kindness and the special medical care shown to her by the staff of Luther/Midelfort.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, at First Congregational Church in Eau Claire with the Reverend Dr. Mark X. Pirazzini officiating. Private family burial will take place prior to services at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Friends may call at the church ½ hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Catherine's name to First Congregational United Church of Christ, 310 Broadway Street, Eau Claire, WI 54703 or Luther-Midelfort.
