Duane E. Wohlk, age 71, of Eau Claire, WI died Wednesday October 3, 2007 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire from complications of brain surgery.
Duane was born September 10, 1936 in Almena, WI to August and Matilda
Wohlk. He was married to Barbara J. Pfeiffer in Almena on October 5, 1957. Duane and Barbara raised their family in Illinois.
Duane was a mechanical engineer who enjoyed photography, running, and the Green Bay Packers. He retired to Phoenix, AZ, but recently returned to Wisconsin.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Wohlk of Eau Claire, his daughter Colette Doran, his sons Phillip (Mary) and Douglas, his grandchildren Justin Doran, Julia Doran, John Dahl (Amanda), his great-granddaughter; Jenna Dahl; his brothers, Lowell (Shirley) and LeRoy (Shelby) Wohlk, and his sister Sylvia Frie. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survived him. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Arlo, and his sister Violet.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 6, 2007 at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, 305 Clinton St., Almena, WI with a private burial at a later time. Pastor Norman Peterson will officiate. Memorials can be made in Duane's name to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center (www.maprc.com).
