Catherine was born on November 20, 1926 in Durand, Wisconsin to Charles and Pauline (Berger) Brantner. She married James Becker on April 15, 1947. They owned a farm in rural Mondovi for 47 years before retiring in Eau Claire. 
 
Catherine was an avid quilter and she loved gardening. She was known for her beautiful flower beds.
 
She is survived by her children Joyce (Ron) Kurth of Eau Claire, Leonard (Ann) Becker of Carrollton, TX, David Becker of Marshfield, Jan (Ray) Behling of Marshfield and Donna (Brian) Whelihan of Cedarburg, WI, grandchildren; Amy, Michael and Brian Becker, Laura Kurth, Tyler and Jenna Behling, Aric Whelihan, Jeri Weber, great-granddaughter Kaytlynn Carson, two brothers Eddie and Bill Brantner and sister Dorothy Schlenk. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Lambert, Chuck, Joe and Arnold Brantner and sisters Irene Becker, Agnes Kiral and Laura Cain.
