dear cheryl and boys, i am so heartbroken for you and the boys. you all have my deepest sympathy. i still can't believe that larry is gone. seems like only yesterday i was talking to you at sherman and asking about your family. brady was truly one of the nicest people you could ever meet or know. i feel so fortunate to have known him for so many years at delong. to know him was to "love" him. his rappor with the students was one that you didn't see too often and he was so gifted in working with the special needs kids. i know your hearts are broken now but in the weeks and months ahead you all will have so many wonderful memories of a truly great man to reflect on and beleive me that will help a lot. in love and friendship and very deep sympathy, caryn quella

We can't believe it. We're so sorry to have lost Larry (Brady), everyone at Wet Wendy's sends there sincerest condolences and he will be missed greatly. It seems like yesterday that he was sitting at our table, not reading his spanish book, drinking a beer in one of his hawaiian shirt entertaining us and the other patrons. In all the days he spent with us here, I think he was in a bad mood once. Everyone liked Brady and his spirit will always be here. Love Chad and Klara, Betsy, Carlos, Kai, Maya and the rest of the Wet Wendy's crew

I first met Mr. Brady in seventh grade as my technology teacher, and prime time teacher. I was a very kind man. Through work at Dairy Queen, and mutual friends Jackie and Woody I was able to get to know Brian and Matt. I would talk to Mr. Brady on a weekly basis at Festival Foods where I worked for four years through college. He would always ask how my life was going and give me updates on Brian and Matt. He truly loved them both and it was obvious in the pride that could be heard in his voice. He would always check if there was wild rice citrus salad available for his wife, whether he saw it in the case or not. I offer my deepest sympathy. My own father passed away from cancer this past August. Like my father, Mr. Brady was a great Man.

I am so sorry about Larry's death. He had such good things to say about his family and the trips he took. I work at Delong and there was never a time when I saw him that he wasn't up beat and happy. I hope you can all get through this thinking of the happy times you had together. Cheryl Leonard ( Delong staff)

I am so sorry for your loss. Brady was a great man. I spent a lot of time student teaching under Brady at DeLong while Cory was tending to his son. There was not a dull day. Brady and I hit it off immediately and were constantly laughing about one another. He would stop by and show me his moped, talk of his trips to Mexico amongst other things. Brady also offered to be a recommendation for me (which he did and did well). One of his old mentees was on the hiring team at the job I have now. As soon as that mentee (Scott Foster) found out I knew Brady, he called him up and that was that…I got the job. I regret not having the time the past few summers to spend a couple nights at your cabin. Cory Bixby and I were invited and were planning on it…we just never had a corresponding weekend free. Brady was a very intelligent, caring and funny man that I am proud to have known. It is with my deepest sympathy that I send this to you. God bless and take care. Sincerely, Lance Schultz

Hi, My family and I are so sorry to hear of Brady's passing. We just found out yesterday 10/27/08! Was he sick? I just celebrated my 37th birthday on the 23rd. Just to know that he died a day before my birthday is very hard for me to bear. I grew up next door to him on Lake Street. Twenty seven years ago my dad Jeffrey Voigt was transferred to the Chicago Land area where he too died a sudden death in a motor cycle accident when I was 15. He was only 37 at the time. At the age f 25 I had a son, we named him Braiden but call him Brady for short. I have always told him of Larry Brady and how he was named after him. I have always loved that name. Our Brady is going to be 12 in December. I don't know if Brady ever talked to you about us or not? One of the things that he turned us onto was the movie The Hobbit and as I got older I bought that movie for my own two boys. When I was little I put rocks all over the hood of his car, I think because he was paying too much attention to one of my other siblins. He was supposed to be all mine and Iwasn't the type to share! It seems to me as though he died way too young. Such a wonderufl person and role model. He is ging to be missed by all. We all loved him very much, and have always thought very fondly of him.

My name is Wendy. I am the daughter of Jeff and Sue Voigt, which were neighbor's of Larry's on Lake St in Eau Claire. I really looked up to Larry growing up. My family had a small fire and I was watching my siblings and very scared. Larry was the first face I saw, and it was then I felt safe and knew everything would be ok. He was a wonderful man, and I am so glad that God gave me an opportunity to know him, look up to him and love him almost like my dad. You are all in my prayers. Wendy Cox

Dear Friends, I was deeply saddened to learn of Mr. Brady's recent passing. I consider myself fortunate to have been a student in one of his very first Industrial Arts classes at Delong Junior High in 1972. The lessons he taught me in shop class have served me well for more than 35 years in both my personal life and in my professional life. My deepest condolences to his family at the loss of someone who I will always consider a truly great man. With Condolences, Dr. Todd A. Hanson, Ph.D. Los Alamos, NM
