Betty Lou Buchholz, age 81 of Eau Claire passed Monday March 24, 2008 at Dove Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

  
Betty was born in the Town of Lafayette on March 14, 1927 to Arthur and Lula (Gilman) Shilts. She married Clarence Buchholz on August 19, 1945 at Pentecostal Assembly Church in Eau Claire. Betty and Clarence retired in 1979 from the dairy farm in Fall Creek after which they traveled the United States in their motor home. Betty worked with Clarence on the farm for 19 years. She worked as a Nursing Assistant at Sacred Heart Hospital and the Fall Creek Valley Nursing Home. She enjoyed painting and decorating the many wooden projects Clarence built. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and quilting for her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading the bible on a daily basis with Clarence. Her faith and walk with God was a priority.

 
Betty is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clarence Julius Buchholz; her children, Johnie (Robyn) of Lebenon, Oregon, Gary (Sandy) Buchholz of Altoona, Pam Buchholz of Sheboygan, Brent (Debbie) of Fall Creek, Julie (Rick) Kramer of Eau Claire and Teresa (Steven) DeMoe (Eau Claire), 36 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lula (Gilman) Shilts; her infant daughter, Connie Lou Buchholz; her daughter-in-law, Mary Buchholz; brothers, Austin, Wayne, Everett, Douglas, Forest, Thomas, Fred, and James; sisters, Genelda, Cecil, Florence, Mary, and Sharlene. She was the best mom ever!!
 
Funeral Services for Betty will be at 11 am on Saturday March 29, 2008 at the Apostolic Faith Church, 3431 Fear Street, Eau Claire, WI. Pastor Carl A. Trapani will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. Friends may call at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire on Friday evening from 4-8 pm and at the church Saturday morning from 10 am until the time of services.
