Mary E. Connell, 88, of Eau Claire, died on July 1, 2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Mary was born on May 14, 1920 to Josephine (Lassek) and Charles Connell in Eau Claire. Upon graduating from high school, she served as an Executive Secretary for the Wisconsin Telephone Company. She was also a member of St. Patrick/Sacred Heart Parish. Mary was an avid golfer and loved to travel. She had a great sense of humor and a big smile. Her fun spirit made her the life of the party. She loved to make people laugh. |
Mary is survived by: her brother, Jim Connell of Eau Claire; sister-in-law, Anna Marie Connell, Bismarck, ND; nephews, Tom (Linda) Connell, Winter, WI, Charlie (Char) Connell, Eau Claire, Bob (Janice) Connell, New York, John Connell, Arcadia, WI, Dick (Judy), Iowa Falls, IA Gary (Sue) Kruger, EC, and Dennis (Cecile) Kruger, Tavares, FL; nieces, Lana (Bill) Hansen, EC, Mary Alice (Elliott) Light, Eau Claire, Joanie (John) Gunderson, Eau Claire, Julie (Matt) DeRusha, River Falls, WI, Jeanne (Bruce) Cameron, Tampa, FL; and many great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eau Claire with Father Valentine officiating the services. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery immediately following the services. Family and friends may pay their respects at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
