Richard "Dick" G. Erickson age 73, of Eau Claire died Monday, January 21, 2008, in his home, surrounded by family. Dick was born February 23, 1934 in Duluth, MN to Roy and Stella (Morriseau) Erickson. Dick lived in Duluth during his early years and graduated from Duluth East in 1952. After attending college at the University of Minnesota - Duluth, Dick moved to Texas, where he met, fell in love and married his wife of nearly 50 years, Jacquelyn (Havelka) Erickson on November 29, 1958. 
 
Dick and Jackie lived in Houston, TX, Albequerque, NM, and Kansas City, KS before relocating to Topeka, KS in 1966 for a career opportunity and to start their family. Dick owned and operated his own business until 1981, when the family relocated to Eau Claire. 

 
After serving 27 years as a commercial real estate agent in the Eau Claire area, establishing Richwell Real Estate and Marcoda, LLC, Dick recently retired. The next generation of Erickson's has now taken over Richwell, but Dick's enthusiastic spirit continues.
 
Mr. Erickson is survived by his wife, Jackie, his daughter, Brenda Solis, and her husband, Troy, of Farmington, MN; his two sons, Mark and Scott, both of Eau Claire; five grandchildren: Justin, Cassie, Chelsea, Alex and Jackson, all of Farmington, MN; and a sister, Joanne Sandry of Eau Claire. Dick was preceded in death by both parents. 
 
A very special thank you to Dr. Kidess, and his staff at Eau Claire Medical Clinic, Dr. Muslim and Dr. Steinmetz from Marshfield Clinic Regional Cancer Center and their large capable support staff. Additional thanks to Dr. McMahon and staff at McMahon Chiropractic Clinic. All of your care and concern made a tremendous impact. 
 
Funeral Services will be at 11 am on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home. Father Brian D. Konopa of St. Olaf's Catholic Church will officiate. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Resurrection Mausoleum immediately following the services. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday evening from 4-7 pm and again Saturday morning from 10 am until the time of services.
