Kathy and Emily, Don't know if you remember me but I used to work at Bothun as a service advisor with Tom. We were like "brothers" as he put it when I moved away in 1999. Before I left he gave me a clock that he made, which I still have as a reminder of how great he is. I was deeply saddened when I found out that Tom had passed. Memories of him flashed through my head of all the great times that he and I had shared in the short time that I had known Tom. I watched the video and got to see that Emily did turn out as a beautiful woman as Tom suspected. I can still see "Em" sitting behind the desk at Bothun asking us questions of what were doing and why. Tom was\is a great man, he will be missed dearly. May God continue to hold you close, give you comfort and guide you through these difficult moments. Know that you have friends to lean on and to hold you up when you need it the most. Kathy, Emily, Rog, and your families: I am thinking about all of you right now. It is 9:35 A.M., Thursday, August 28th. I truly wish that I could be with you all today. I just finished watching Tom's memorial video. How beautifully done. I still can't believe we have all lost him, but I will always remember him in my heart. I treasure the times that Rog and I spent with Tom and Kathy in Madison during Badger football games. We sure had some great times together. Emily was so little, so cute, and we had such fun playing with her and the dogs. We also had some great card games together. I will especially remember that Tom usually was working on some woodworking project or outside grooming his yard when we arrived at their place. He surely seemed to be doing those things he loved to do while were were there. No words can describe how I feel right now and at times like this I always question God about WHY? But I will continue to trust my faith in God and know that He is with all of us and He will continue to help us get through our great loss. Even though I still can't believe Tom is gone from this earthly world, I will beleive that he is in good hands with God and at peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I will never forget the loving friendship I had with Tom while he was with us and I am very grateful to have known him. Try to celebrate Tom's life today as you are all together.
