Dorothy J. Evans, age 84 of Eau Claire, died Sunday,
May 25, 2008, at Dove Healthcare following a brief stay.
Dorothy was born on August 9, 1923, in White Lake, Wisconsin, the
daughter of Thomas and Mabel (Madson) Hansen. She was the third of
thirteen children. On October 20, 1946, Dorothy married Walter
Evans in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She enjoyed dancing with her husband, Walter, and painting. Her
artworks are enjoyed in homes all over the country.

Dorothy is survived by her only son, Thomas (Kimberlie) Evans (Eau Claire, WI); grandchildren, Jeffery, Jennifer, Melissa, Brandon, and Josh; great-grandchildren, Ariel, Chad Jr., and Evan
Bartz; sisters, Violet Madson (Gillet, WI), Barbara Horowitz (Chicago, IL), and Carol Bongard (Phoenix, AZ); brothers, Keith Hansen
(Buffton, SC), Thomas Hansen (Bluffton, SC), and Harold Hansen (Rapid City, SD).
A memorial service for Dorothy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008 at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
