Gloria and Family - Tom & I want to offer our deepest sympathies. I have always said that on the day you die if 1 person is sorry because you touched their life then you have accomplished what you were supposed to on this earth. Obviously Walter went above & beyond. We are so glad that we knew him and will certainly miss him.

My deepest sympathy goes to all members of the Gold family. I will always remember him for being so warm, friendly and generous with all his friends.I remember The Trader and Trapper episode(maybe better forgotten)but we all came through it and even had some laughs.Time eventually heals the ache of parting and what survives are wonderful memories nothing can take away. Once in awhile I review EC obits for HS classmates. It's interesting how lives have connections. I used to "caddy double" for Walter and Mort Phillips at EC Country Club. Then, I worked several summers in the lab at Sterling while in college. I left WI in 1954 so I didn't have any further connection until I noticed that his celebration of life was at the church that I grew up in. I was saddened to see that the obit indicates a relationship to Hospice which usually indicates a tough end-of-life situation for both Walter and you folks. My prayers are with all of you. Dale B

I was thinking of Walter this morning. I am saddened to learn of his passing. I was fortunate to have been able to call myself Walter and Mrs. Gold's Mercedes-Benz salesman in AZ. In thirty years of selling, Walter was truly one of my favorite clients. Not because he bought cars from me, but because he set an example of how I would like to experience my later years. I looked forward to talking with Walter about his tennis and his golf. He shared his experiences with his family in the pet crate manufacturing business. We spoke about our love for our dogs. Most of all, I enjoyed Walter's zest for life...in many ways, he had a "younger" outlook on things than I did, even though he was 30 years my senior. I will miss Walter, but his memories will live on for me. I pray for comfort for Mrs. Gold and the family, and hope that Walter lives on in all of you. Craig
