Charles was born July 29, 1922 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Charles and Jenny Hultman, Sr... He graduated from Hibbing High School in 1941. He attended ST. Cloud Sate University and graduated from Duluth Business University. Charles participated in football and hockey through high school and college. He was very proud of his heritage as a native son of the Iron Range and Hibbing in particular and Minnesota in general. He was a strong proponent of Minnesota and the Vikings.
		Charles served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After his active naval duty, he was in the Naval Reserve and recalled to active duty during the Korean Conflict. He also was an active member of the Citizen Military Training Center at Ft. Snelling.
He worked for Amoco Oil Company for 29 years and retired as a field auditor on July 1, 1977. He married Grace L. Feigum on July 19, 1964 in Brookings, South Dakota and moved to Eau Claire. He is survived by his daughter Jan Zimmerman and son Brad Hultman, step-daughter Marilyn Feigum, Kathleen Stokes, Nancy Behm and stepson Steve Feigum. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace, who passed away on October 17, 2000, his parents and a sister Ruth.   Friends may offer condolences online at www.fullerspeckien.com.
