He was born April 13, 1913 in the township of Clear Creek to Earl A. and Elsie M. (Schneller) Jackson. He married Hilda Mayer on June 13, 1937 and spent the next 69 years together in the township of Clear Creek. Norman farmed for many years and later did masonry work until he retired. He then worked part-time for Silver Springs Gardens for another 30 years until he was 94.
His greatest joys were spending time with his wife, cutting wood, making Afghans and gardening.
Norman leaves behind a son Darrel Jackson of Eau Claire, son Allard (Sharon) Jackson of Strum and a daughter, Ilene (Pete) Tobin of Powhatan, VA. 12 grandkids, 31 great grandkids, and 7 great great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hilda, son Leonard, five brothers, a sister, a great grandchild, and a great great grandchild.
Norman will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Norman's name to the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
