JENSEN, Royce R., 79, of Eau Claire, died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at New Harmony Care Center in St. Paul.
 
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday February 7, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 E. Lexington Blvd., Eau Claire, WI. Pastor Jim Page will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire at a later date. 
 
   Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #53 outside the church following the service. Friends and family may call at the church Thursday morning one hour prior to services.

 
Royce was born November 19, 1928 one of twelve children to Edward and Beulah (Ball) Jensen in Cornell, Wisconsin. He received his education in the Boyd area. After finishing school, he served his country in the United States Army. He toured Japan as a center on the Army Basketball Team. As a Sergeant, he was deployed to the Korean War. His unit spent a year and a half on the front lines. Upon his return home, he married Leota Orman. The couple settled in Kenosha and had two children. In 1972, he moved his family to Eau Claire where he started "Royce Roofing" which he ran for 25 years. In 1997 his wife passed away. He later married Sandra Meinholz and they remained married until his death.
 
Royce is survived by his wife Sandra, two children from his first marriage, Denise Berry of Edina and Kirk Jensen of Eau Claire, three grandsons, Matthew, Christopher and Jordan Berry, a brother Marvin of Arkansaw and sister June Zimmerman of Alaska. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leota, his parents, six brothers and three sisters.
 
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Royce's name to the American Cancer Society, 2427 N Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona, WI 54720. Friends may offer condolences online at www.fullerspeckien.com.
