Patricia Jeanne Lightfoot, with her family by her side, passed from this earth on September 10, after a six year battle with breast cancer.
 
Pat was born to Harold and Dorothy Parris in Hammond, Indiana on August 7, 1941. She attended schools in Dyer, Indiana and Elmhurst, Illinois before graduating with a degree in Elementary Education from Indiana State University in June 1967. She married Dewain Lightfoot in Dyer, Indiana on June 10, 1967. Pat taught 1st grade in Reelsville, Indiana for one year and taught Junior High Math at Chippewa Falls Middle School for ½ year. Pat entered the Eau Claire school system in 1980 as a kitchen helper at Memorial High School and moved to a cook position at Roosevelt Elementary School. She then became a Teachers's Aide serving at Locust Lane, Park and Putnam Heights Elementary schools. Pat also served as President of the support staff union Local 4018 from 1992-2002.
 

  
She is survived by husband Dewain, son Nik of Minneapolis, MN, son Tony, daughter-in-law Jennifer and grandson Kyle of White Bear Lake, MN. Further survived by sister Donna Hemphill, her husband John of Dyer, Indiana, brother Rick Parris and wife Sandra of Fairview, Tennessee; nieces and nephews.
 
Pat was preceded in death by parents Harold and Dorothy Parris, grandparents Clyde and Madge Parris, Flossie and Harley Briggs.
 
Services for Pat will be at 11am on Monday, September 15, 2008 at Lake Street United Methodist Church, 337 Lake Street, Eau Claire, WI. Pastor Graham N. West will officiate. The family will receive visitors at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road from 4:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, September 14, 2008 and one hour prior to services at Lake Street United Methodist Church. Private burial services will be held at a later date.
 
The family would like to thank the medical staff of the Cancer Center of Marshfield Clinic and especially Dr. Delmastro for their attention to Pat during her illness. Special thanks also go to the oncology nurses of Sacred Heart Hospital for their care and attention to Pat and the family. We will be forever grateful. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Cancer Center at Marshfield Clinic, the Oncology Dept. of Sacred Heart Hospital, or the Finishing Touches account of Lake Street United Methodist Church.
