Lonning, 80, died Thursday, February 28,
2008 at the Clairemont Nursing Home in
Eau Claire.

Al (Bud) was born on June
6, 1927 in Kandiyohi, Minnesota to Anton
E. and Ruth (Roslein) Lonning. He served
in the US Army for 2 years, discharged
October 1952. Al married Elaine Jeanne
Paul on July 5, 1952. |
Al worked for Land 'O Lakes with the
majority of his time in quality
control-dry milk division in Eau Claire.
He was involved with various industry
organizations, church activities,
horseshoe club and the Boy Scouts. |

Al is survived by his wife, Elaine; sons, Gerald (Francie
Sholl), Gene (Kelli) and James (Michele); and
grandchildren, Jared and Jordan Earnest. He is
preceded in death by his parents and his daughter,
Carol Geneva.
A memorial service for Al will be held on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 E. Lexington Blvd., Eau Claire, with Pastor Kurt Jacobson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
